Formula Pro WRS Begins to Build 2024 Prize Package with Special Test for Series Champion

Looking to make waves in 2024, the new all-female Formula Pro Women Racing Series (WRS) has inked a deal for a major prize for their inaugural season. Open to all female drivers, regardless of experience level, drivers must be 14 years of age minimum and possess a competition license, competitors will be vying for a two-day test in F1 Academy machinery with an F1 Academy Race Team at a date and location that is to be determined.

“While we are holding some of the details close to our chest for a future announcement of our complete prize fund, this is a major prize that we needed to get out to the masses,” explained Exclusive Racing and Owner of the Formula Pro USA family of programs BD Morgan. “Our goal is to establish the premier women’s-only race program in the United States and advance female drivers up the motorsports ladder.”

Formula Pro WRS was founded in 2023 by a group of seasoned motorsports professionals who are passionate about motorsports. The founders saw a need for a racing series that was specifically for women, and they set out to create it. The series will hold its inaugural race season in 2024, helping to break down barriers for women in motorsports in the USA. The WRS series will utilize the Ligier JSF4 formula race car, which is a single-seater, open-wheel race car that is designed for racing on paved circuits. The series will be capped at 10-12 cars in its inaugural year.

The mission of the WRS series is to empower women in motorsports. We believe that women are just as capable as men in racing, and we want to provide them with the opportunity to prove themselves.

The WRS series is committed to providing a safe and competitive racing environment for all drivers. We have strict safety policies in place, and all drivers must meet certain criteria to compete. WRS provides a great opportunity for female drivers to achieve their dreams.

August 30-September 1 – Sonoma Raceway (2 Race Rounds)
November 15-17 – Buttonwillow Raceway (2 Race Rounds)
