Dec 28, 2021 | News

With the 2021 race season complete and the calendar set to turn to a fresh new year, the Exclusive Racing Formula Pro USA Western Championship will undergo some significant changes for the 2022 program. Focused on both teams and competitors from the East and West Coasts, the Formula Pro USA Winter Series will kick off in February while the Summer Series and new Presidents Cup program will run concurrently from March through October, with final details to be communicated in the very near future.

“2021 was one of our best seasons in regard to competition and car count, and we are looking to expand on that momentum in 2022,” explained David Morgan. “While our Winter Series will remain widely unchanged, we are just finishing the last details on our Summer program and should be able to announce that in the next few weeks. Our series is about growth and providing experience to help drivers make the move to the national level, and we are doing that year-after-year.”

F1 CarsLike 2021, the Formula Pro USA Winter Series will kick off at the Auto Club Speedway over the February 4-6th weekend before traveling to Sonoma Raceway later that month from February 25-27th. Each event weekend will consist of two wheel-to-wheel races with ample track time leading up to the first green flag race action of the weekend. With no drop races, each race will count towards the Formula Pro USA Winter Series Championship.

Morgan continued, “We have confirmation from a few national level programs that they will use our series to once again test, tune, train and get their drivers up to speed. In past years we have seen our powerhouse local teams race alongside the East Coast programs such as Kiwi Motorsport, Alliance Racing, Jay Howard Driver Development and more. We are looking forward to another big turnout in 2022 and registration is now open.”
